Remembering Peter Hamilton

Hello friends and associates of Peter Hamilton. It was with great sadness that we learned of the the passing on Monday August 22 of one of our long-time Ramsden Park Dog Owner Associaton members.

To honour Peter's memory, members of the RPDOA along with neighbours and friends are contributing to the installation of a commemorative bench in Ramsden Park.

The city has such a program:
http://www.toronto.ca/parks/engagement/commemorate.htm
The target is $2200.00

If you are interested in making a donation, please contact me at this email address.
I am coordinating contributions by cash, cheque, credit or debit card. If you pay by cheque, payable to the City of Toronto, you can receive a tax receipt.
Fill in the form you can find at this link

and mail it to me with your cheque payable to
Treasurer, City of Toronto

David Bluestein
31 Roxborough St West Toronto ON M5R 1T9

If you prefer to pay in cash or by debit or credit card, I can arrange
to meet you in the park. Just call or email and we'll work that out.

Thank you so much

Clean Up Day: Yoda Says There Is No Try, Only Do Or Do Not!

This Saturday, May 7, we are going to clean up the park.

We have people, rakes, gloves, bags and shovels, but are in dire need of the loan of a wheelbarrow to move the compost to the base of the fence so we can plant some Red Runner Beans. So, if you can loan us one, please bring it by Saturday AM, or, if you can't, let me know and I'll pick it up!

We also need volunteers to help clean the garden at the East end of the park where it meets the Roxborough St South Laneway just north of Gibson.

We're in the park from 8AM, so if you have time to do a little raking, garbage collection or gardening, please come on by.

C U in the Park!

Every Day is Clean Up Day!

Not a complete washout, but almost.
Thanks to Krista and Deb for showing up and doing their bit in the pouring rain.

Please help out next time you are in the park by picking up some trash and depositing it in the proper receptacle. You can also bring a rake anytime you like. Or, bring a shovel and fill in some holes.

Remember that it's our park so let's keep it clean for our dogs.

The Off Leash Area is a slushy melting mess. We have asked the city for mulch to absorb the moisture and mud. During the thaw and melting season, please do not allow your dogs to interfere with pedestrians walking the path from Avenue Road to the Roxborough Steps!

Also, it's the season for rescuing orphan poos and putting them in the trash.
For some reason, the volume goes way up in this weather and we ask you to chip in, so to speak,
in keeping our area clean more than just on Clean Up Day!

Thanks, see you in the park!
